About
Christian Edwards
With a decade spanning career as a professional parkour athlete and coach, with exploits reaching as far as Ninja Warrior UK, Christian was recruited by the Ministry of Defence to serve as a Senior Instructional Officer in Physical Training for the British Army. Drawing upon a comprehensive background in Exercise Science, as well as a decade of Parkour-Speed Climbing experience, it was here that he developed subject matter expertise in Tactical Parkour, Tactical Strength & Conditioning, and Battle Physical Training.At the same time, Christian was recruited by Pentathlon GB to aid the organisation in assimilating the new Obstacle Course Racing discipline into the wider five sport event, ahead of the 2028 LA Olympics. Adopting an ecological approach to coaching, Christian helped to cultivate the next generation of Team GB potential, and ultimately delivered athletes to podium positions.Driven by a desire to take a holistic approach to training, Christian joined the Tactical Athlete Performance Centre at Buckinghamshire New University, to continue developing his expertise in Human Performance Optimisation. The intent is to synergise research and real-world practice, creating more adaptable training systems that are theory driven, but operationally focused.
